Glenn Sterling

Naxera - Glenn Sterling, 49, of Norfolk, a native of Naxera, died Monday in a Norfolk hospital.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hermie Carpenter Sterling; three daughters, Misses Jeanette and Angela Sterling of Newport News, and Miss Dawn Rae Sterling of Norfolk; two stepdaughters; nine stepsons; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Powers of Naxera, Mrs. Fannie S. Mitchell of Chesapeake, and Mrs. Doris S. West of Norfolk; and two brothers, Saint Elmo Sterling Sr. of Wicomico and James W. Sterling of Poquoson.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, by the Rev. W. E. Honeycutt of Severn Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be in Severn Presbyterian Church here.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Heart Fund.
