Gloriadean Mae (Knoke) Plath October 8, 1936 - July 18, 2019

YORK- Gloriadean Mae (Knoke) Plath, 82, died on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Donald L. Plath who died on June 23, 1993. The couple had been married for 37 years.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with the Reverend Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller officiating. A viewing will be from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.

Born on October 8, 1936 in York, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Moul) Knoke. Gloriadean was a homemaker and previously worked at Dentsply.

Mrs. Plath was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bowling, sewing, crocheting, cross stitching, baking and cooking. Her favorite TV shows included Cops, Alaska Last Frontier and Naked & Afraid. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Plath is survived by three daughters, Donna Lee Stine and husband, Randy of Fairlawn, OH, Dena Lynn Grothe and husband, Michael of Bethpage, TN and Diane Louise Hamm and husband, Bruce of Dillsburg; seven grandchildren, Amanda Farr-Stine, Angela Rainey, Andrea Hetner, Lauren Lyman, Oliver Grothe, Megan Hamm and Jacob Hamm; four great grandchildren, Emma Rainey, Benjamin Rainey, Carter Hetner and Sophia Farr-Stine; brother, Raymond Knoke and wife, Chloe of York; and three sisters, Janet Weber of Dover, Diana Waltimyer of Dover and Caroleen Miller and husband, Leo of Dover. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles H.E. Knoke; and two sisters, Violet Smith and Henrietta Gantz.
