Herbert “Butch” Howell, 70, of Viola, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in Springfield, Missouri. Herbert was born to the late Olgesby Rufus Howell and Daisey Mae (White) Howell on October 31, 1948 in Alton, Missouri.

Butch was united to marriage to Ramona Smalldridge on May 21, 1966 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. Butch spent his working years as a saw mill operator and attended the Mitchell Assembly of God church. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Butch leaves to mourn his passing; two sons, Steven Howell of Ozark, Missouri and Herbert “Chuck” Howell of Oxford, Arkansas; daughter, Donnisa Parker of Mountain Home, Arkansas; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Howell of Bexar, Arkansas and Pete Howell of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, son (Brian Ray Howell), parents and four sisters (Norma, Cordie, Carol and Loretta).

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 19, 2019 at Bexar Cemetery in Bexar, Arkansas with Monte Neal officiating. Pallbearers are Jason Howell, Justin Howell, Michael Howell, Pete Howell, Porter Howell and Jimmy Howell. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
