Obituary for Patsy Marie Brazzil Allen
Patsy Marie Brazzil Allen was born April 23, 1936 and went to be with her Lord on July 20, 2019. She was the youngest daughter born to the late Carsie B. Brazzil and Annie Sue Daugherty Brazzil.
Patsy was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved fishing on Caddo Lake, camping with family, cooking, sewing, swimming and playing bingo with her senior friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hallsville, where she loved her church family and friends.
She attend Hallsville Schools in the class of 1954. She was a member of the Hallsville High School Band, where she was a majorette and trombone player. She married her true love, Melvin S. Allen on August 2, 1954 and they were married for 46 years before his passing in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, Dan Brazzil, Ruth Hill and Tiny Sue Drinkard and grandson Daryl Mason. Those left to cherish her memory and her daughter and son-in-law, Jerre and Tim Mason; son and daughter-in-law, James and Diane Allen; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and was loved by many.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Noonday Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
