TAOS, N.M. - Michael Duane Wendt, 15, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Rivera Chapel in Taos. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Rivera Hanlon Funeral Home of Taos.

Mr. Wendt was born in Amarillo and had completed the eighth grade at Taos Middle School.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Kevin Wengren of Taos; his father and stepmother, Duane and Deana Wendt of Lubbock; a sister, Danielle Wendt of Taos; a half-brother, Justin Wendt; a stepsister, Eleni Wendt of Texas; his grandparents, Dick and Beverly Wright of El Paso, Texas; Lawrence and Ellen Wengren of Dixon, Calif.; Betty June Jella of Amarillo; Laurel and Willis Burley of Minnesota; his great-grandparents, Laureta and Laurance Boyer of Michigan; Celia Wengren of Florida; and Mildred Rehm of Amery, Wisconsin.

The family suggests memorials be to Wild Life Hospital, P.O. Box 246, Espanola, NM 87532 or Taos Glass Blowing Program c/o Taos Pueblo Governor's Office, P.O. Box 1846, Taos, NM 87571.
