Born May 4, 1935 in Greenup County, Kentucky to the late Thomas Frank and Virgie Allen Boggs, Nina Mae Boggs Wood, 84, of Marysville and formerly of Milford Center, died peacefully Saturday evening, July 13th at Bluebird Retirement Community.

A 1953 graduate of Union Rural High School, she married Wayne Wood July 4, 1953 at her family’s home in Rosedale. She was retired from Laidlaw Transportation serving the Harold Lewis School for many years. Committed to the Lord, Nina taught Sunday School for many years at the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Milford Center, and in later years became a member of the Vineyard Church of Marysville and Haven Community Church in Marysville.

A devoted wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother, Nina loved her family above all things. She enjoyed cooking for the family and hosting large family dinners and reunions. She loved vacationing with her husband in Tennessee over the years. She was also a farm wife, and worked hard tending the garden, canning green beans each summer, and helping with the farm chores from time to time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters: Ethel Milledge in 2009 and Mary Ellen Budig in 2011 and brothers, Russel Boggs, Charles Boggs, Everett Boggs, Earl Boggs; plus infant granddaughters Jessica Nicole Wood, and Jennifer Marie Wood.

Ingram Funeral Home where funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday with burial to follow at Milford Center Cemetery.
