Shane M. Hall, of Lancaster Ma, died unexpectedly on June 1, 2009. He was born March 27, 1977 in Framingham Ma. and grew up in Natick. He graduated from Marion High in 1995 and went on to receive degrees from UMASS Amherst and New England Institute of Art. His passion for anthropology, documentary film-making and helping others was evident in all aspects of his life as a vibrant and active member of many communities-Western Massachusetts, Cambridge, Worcester and Fort Pond. He performed outreach and touched countless individuals through his work at Cambridge Cares and AIDS Project Worcester. Most recently he had applied his talents as a real estate agent. Shanes greatest joy was his family and friends. His devotion and caring nature sustained them in good times and in bad. He was cherished by all who knew him. He leaves behind his spouse, Ryan Pietras of Lancaster; his parents, Peter and Jill Hall of Natick; his brother and his wife, Ryan and Jill Hall of Natick; his grandmother, Marge Fitzgerald of South Carolina; his parents-in-law, Phil and Kathy Pietras of Groton; his brother in-law, Chad Pietras of Groton; his sister-in-law and her husband, Sarah and Marcus Ferolito of Maynard. He leaves many aunts and uncles, most especially Jack Fitzgerald and Janet and Gerry Smith with whom he had a very special bond. Shane also leaves his dear friends, Tim Fisk of Northampton and Tabitha Solomon of San Francisco, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors of the Fort Pond Community. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 7 from 3-7PM at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home in Natick. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patricks Church in Natick on Monday June 8 at 10AM.
