Dwayne Romain Reid, Sr.
September 13, 1991 - May 12, 2019

Dwayne Rumain Reid, Sr. affectionately called, “Dugla aka Mr. Kingston”, was born on September 13, 1991, in a Spanish Town Hospital, in Jamaica, when Christine Wright and Arthur Reid gave birth to twin, bouncing baby boys, Dwayne and Jermain Reid. Like any other baby, Dwayne was quiet and only cried when he was hungry. He was full of life and vigor. He smiled and laughed a lot, more than any other baby. His pleasant nature as a child was nothing more than breathtaking. At the age of three, he started Seymor Almont and at age six, he started St. Johns Primary School. He and his family, then relocated to Kingston, where he started Tarrant Primary School for six years, where he took the GSAT examination and passed to attend the Tarrant High School. He stayed at Tarrant High School for 5 years, until 2010 when he migrated to America.

His first job in America was at Water Country USA, after Water Country, he held several other jobs including, Colonial Williamsburg, Airmark, Sedexo, Walmart, Food Lion, and Phillip Enterprise. Dwayne had a great sense of humor and was very creative. He could do whatever he put his mind to. He was very hard working and always willing to help, without any hesitation. He was a fashionista, well groomed, and was always the center of attention and life of the party.

In December of 2010, he welcomed his bundle of joy, Dwayne, Jr. AKA “Dooda”. He brought joy to Dwayne and they were inseparable. Dooda says, that his dad could fix anything and would groom him to be the future Elon Musk. Dooda would always say, “ please call Daddy, he can fix my bike”. When he saw his Dad, he tuned everyone out in the room and focused only on his Dad. Dwayne was, and will forever be Dooda’s hero.

In 2017, Dwayne married Adrianna, and from this union, produced his son, Amir. Dwayne loved to cook, and one of his favorite meals was fried chicken and jerk pork. Dwayne was raised in the Church, as such, he did not stray away from God’s word. As an adult, Dwayne liked going to parties and gained popularity amongst his peers. Dwayne was fun-loving, and known for his contagious laugh, that could light up a dull room. He was a people person and loved by most.

Dwayne leaves behind his wife, Adrianna; his child's mom, Cameron (Shay); mother, Christine; fathers, Arthur and David; brothers, Jermain, Kishor, Omega, Troy, and David, Jr.; sister, Tameka (Chrissy); special nephew, Jermain, Jr.; uncles and aunts; grandfather, Winston; great-grandmother, Amanda; cousins and lots of Friends.

Though we loved and will miss Dwayne, we have accepted that it is time for him to rest and that Jesus needs him more than we do. Death is never easy but there is eternal hope that we will see him again on that great judgment day. We salute him today for a life well-lived and we will join with the host of Heaven to say, “Dwayne well done our good and faithful servant”. Enter now into the day of thy Lord, may his Soul Rest In Peace and life perpetually shine upon him, Amen.
