Mary and her husband migrated from England to Melbourne in 1867. They were assisted migrants and they travelled on a ship called 'Donald McKay'. With them were their five children Elizabeth, Ann, Robert, Rebecca and John, all aged under 15. A sixth child, daughter Mary, who was born in Sheppey England in 1860 was not with them, suggesting she may have been deceased by the time the ship sailed. Mary and John would have a seventh child in Victoria, Marian. Contributor: AVS (50556250)
