Resident of Hudson, NC. He was the son of the late Voige “Hop” Reid and Gladys Freeman Reid. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Rachel Reid. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his son, Ronnie Lee Reid and wife Jaclyn of Granite Falls; two grandchildren, Raylan Reid and Jersey Reid; one brother, Rex Reid; and close nephew Eugene Bumgarner.
