Brenda Gayle Barnes, age 64, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, July 18, 2019, in a local hospice facility.
Mrs. Barnes was born February 28, 1955, in Bowie County, Texas. She was a member of Oasis Community Church and a homemaker. Her home was an open door, where she was a caretaker to all who entered.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Barnes, of Texarkana; two daughters, Monica Grimes(Chris) of New Boston, Texas and Wendy Faulkner(Travis) of Red Oak, Texas; two sons, Jeremy Huddleston (Glenda) and Jamie Huddleston (Jena Lynn) of Texarkana; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Eddie Roy (Mary) of Texarkana, Alan Roy(Anita) of Texarkana; three sisters, Christy Dixon (Bill) of Spring, Texas, Stephanie Roy of Texarkana and Cathy Wagstaff(Gerald) of Texarkana, Arkansas; special aunt and uncle, Dorothy and David Rawlinson of Nash, Texas; two special cousins, Penny Cole of Texarkana and Tammy Harder of Delaware; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday, July 22, 2019, at Red Lick United Methodist Church with the Revs. Tim Montgomery, Gerald Wagstaff and Ryan Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in Red Lick Cemetery under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
