Deloris "Dee" M. Brown, 85 of Ellettsville passed away at Hearthstone Health Campus on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. A life long resident of Ellettsville she was born on July 20, 1933 into the home of Ray and Cora (Goble) Grubb.
Deloris worked at Edgewood High School and Indiana University in the Food Service Department. Dee enjoyed volunteering after she retired at Area 10 Agency on Aging and RSVP where she helped in the nutritional area.
Deloris is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Kevin) Strickler and Jo Ellen (Jay) Taylor; son, Jerry Brown; grandchildren, Heather (Joe) Lindsey, Josh (Casey) Beckman, Jordan (Maci) Brown, Quentin (Erin) Brown, Jason (Rachel) Taylor, and Amanda Taylor; great-grandchildren, Hayden Lindsey, Cameron Lindsey, Jaxton Brown, Andi Beckman, Alix Beckman, Cloe Taylor, Tara Taylor, and Leah Taylor and nieces, Sandy Sanders and Diana Somes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Hubert Grubb, and Robert "Bob" Grubb.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with Pastor Steve VonBokern officiating. Burial is to follow at Chambersville Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
