Stanley J. Hall, 85, of Guilford, Indiana, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019. He was born April 24, 1934 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, son of the late Jed and Loretta (Snyder) Hall.
Stanley was a veteran of the US Army stationed in Germany as a marksman in the 33rd armored division. He loved fishing, working around the farm and going to his kids and grandkids sporting events. He loved to watch baseball and going to auctions.
He had many jobs. He repaired locks and time clocks, sewing machine repairman, farmer, real estate agent/broker, owner/operator of the Aurora Tree House Restaurant, Anchor Glass, vacuum salesman, Seagrams, and the Barron Jackson machine shop.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gloria Hall; son, Monty (Amy) Hall; daughter-in-law, Teresa Hall; 3 grandchildren, Chrissy (Tim) Powell, Scott (Meghann) Hall, Steven Hall; 3 great grandchildren, Clinton Powell, Elizabeth Powell, Anna Hall; 2 sister, Linda Milan, Sonya "Kate" (Bob) Capps; and one brother, Richard Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jed and Loretta Hall; brother, Marlin Hall; son, Michael Hall; 2 grandsons, Jason Hall, Christopher Hall; and his special grandmother, Jessie Gulley.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10 am, with Pastor Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
