Troopers have identidied the victim in a fatal wreck in Cherokee County. Kristen Adams, of Jasper, died in the wreck involving two vehicles Saturday morning, according to Georgia State Patrol. Troopers said Adams was in a silver Toyota Corolla, traveling south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 575 between Ball Ground and Canton, when she struck a tractor-trailer head-on. Adams was pronounced dead on the scene, troopers said. Troopers spent hours collecting evidence Saturday morning, which affected traffic. All lanes reopened at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Georgia State Patrol said they are still investigating the wreck.
