Louise V. Carter, 94, of Ozark, Arkansas died Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Alma, Arkansas. She was a Security Business owner, manager of Housekeeping at Harbor View, Welder in Shipyard during WWII, a member of Eagles in California, and a member of Fairview Baptist and Calvary Baptist Church in Ozark. She was born September 12, 1924 in the Lone Elm Community Franklin County, Arkansas to William Andrew and Minnie Wisdom Mackey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Howard Carter; her parents; a son, Bruce Carter and a step son, Bobby Carter.
Louise is survived by four daughters, Barbara Grier of Vacaville, California, Anita Chapman of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lawanna James of Mulberry, Arkansas, and Dawn Williams of Ozark; a son, Robert Carter of Alma; a brother, George Mackey of Keefton, Oklahoma; twenty four grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Martin Jobe and Brother Jason Sisemore officiating and burial at Rankin Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon and Clayton James, Chase and Joshua Williams, Dr. Michael Westbrook, and Gary Williams.
