On April 28, 2017, at age 91, peacefully passed away surrounded by family at his home in Gloucester City, NJ.

Mart was predeceased by the love of his life and his wife of 61 years, Muriel O. (nee Petitt) and is survived by his sons Martin (Teresa nee Posey) Stanley and Glenn Stanley, of Gloucester City, and his daughters Gale (late Luz) Preciado of Montara, CA, and Janice (late Bruce) Salabritas of Marlton Lakes, NJ. He was a loving Grand-pop to Martin W. Stanley, Kaitlyn (Josh) Wilson, Erin (AJ) Siderio, Luz Preciado, Tyler Preciado, Jesse Preciado, Lisa (Matt)Letinski, Janine Salabritas and his great-grandchildren Evan, Emily, Ethan,Teagan, Ryan and Lucca.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member and past officer of VFW Post #3620 and a lifetime member of Iron Workers Local #399. Mart will be fondly remembered for his kind spirit, devotion to his family, friends and community and his epic love affair with his wife Muriel.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the lives of both Muriel and Martin on May 12, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00PM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Their Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Townsend C. Young VFW Post #3620, 27 N. Burlington St., Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.etherin tonfh.com.
