Henry Dewaine Murphy, 80, of Mt. Storm, formerly of West Lake, OH, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018 while surrounded by his loving family at home. Born on September 24, 1937 in Potomac Manor, WV, he was the son of the late Lawrence E. and Beualah L. (Snell) Murphy. Henry was a graduate of Elk Garden High School. He retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Company after 42 years of service. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family outdoors camping and fishing. He shared his love of music with his family singing and playing the guitar. Henry was a huge WVU Mountaineer fan, proudly wearing his blue and gold. He attended church at the House of Prayer. Henry is survived by his bride of 58 years, Mildred F. (Henderson) Murphy; three children, Donna Pennington and husband Hoss, Linda Reynolds-Reed and Larry Murphy all of Elk Garden; grandchildren, Dewaine Jones and wife Jessica, Kenneth Jones and wife Breana, Brittany Culbertson and husband Derrek, Tiffany Gillaspie and husband James, Amanda Murphy, Marshall Murphy and fiancé April, Kourtney Murphy, Travis Murphy, Lindsay Reynolds, Guy Reynolds, Jr. and wife Amy, Melanie Renolds; great grandchildren, Sammy and Hunter Jones, Morgan Jones, Gabby and Gavin Culbertson, Nolan Jones, Chase Simpson and Vailyn Labossiere, Lexi and Ana Reynolds, Jackson Upole, Peyton Schwinabart and Guy Reynolds, III; two siblings, Leora Lemon and Floyd Murphy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 710 Church Street, Kitzmiller, MD on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 1 PM in the House of Prayer, Hartmansville, WV with Pastors Leslie Hipp and Dewaine Jones officiating. Interment will be held in the Bayard Cemetery.
