Jamie Lyn Ward, age 33, Joplin, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019.
Jamie was born April 10, 1986 in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of Kenneth E. Ward, Jr. and Phyllis A. Grubb Ward. Jamie graduated from Southport High School, and Indiana University-Purdue University Institute with a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies. She worked for Ducommun as a project manager, and had also previously worked for AT&T in multiple facets. She has lived in several locations including Indianapolis, Indiana, Detroit, Michigan, San Antonio, Texas, and Columbus, Kansas before moving to Joplin over a year ago for her job. Jamie’s smile could brighten a room and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Ken and Phyllis Ward, she is survived by a daughter, Morgan Ward; her "fur babies", Max, Zola, Benz, and Wags; sisters, Christina Ward Foster and husband Joe, and Shannon Ward Kerns and husband Michael all of Ridgeville, South Carolina; niece Ireland Kerns of Ridgeville, South Carolina; boyfriend, Clint Wagner of Columbus, Kansas; and many extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Parker Mortuary on Friday, July 19th, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, Heath's Haven Rescue, of the Joplin Humane Society.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
