Monday, July 9th, 1934 – Friday, June 28th, 2019
Andrew Carr, Sr. transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Chateau St. James Rehab and Retirement Center. He was the son of the late Irma Gains and Dave Carr.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memories -one son, Andrew Jr. (Joan); three sisters, Cora Lee Barney, Jocelyn Gaines, and Senoria Matthews; three brothers, Leander P. Carr, Lonnie Ray Gaines and Durwin Gaines. He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irma Gaines and Dave Carr, sisters Irma Jean Gordon and Augustine Johnson; sons William Sr. and Carl, granddaughter Keshelle Carr and great grandson E’mon Carr and nephew Freddie Albert.
There will be a celebration of life on Friday, July 12, 2019 from Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy., Gramercy, La 70052. Visitation begins at 9:00 am; Service is at 10:00 am.
