Cassie was the daughter of William Ford and Martha Cooper. On 12 Sept 1851 she married Tilgath P Womelduff in Elizabethton, IL. After Tilgath's death in 1872, Cassie married William Bennett Crider. She was the third of "Bennett's" four wives.

The Crittenden Press, Marion, KY, 5 Jan 1893:
Mrs. C. J. Crider, wife of W. B. Crider, formerly wife of T. P. Womelduff, died of brain fever at her home in Crittenden county, Nov. 28, 1892, aged 58 years, after a short severe illness. She fell asleep in the arms of him whom she had faithfully served many years. She was a faithful christian, a loving mother and a kind neighbor. She leaves a husband, three children and nine grandchildren to mourn her absence. She was buried at old Piney Fork cemetery, where she quietly awaits the call of her Lord to arise. Her funeral was conducted by Rev. B. J. Hill and Willie Oakley. Her sufferings are over; she is removed out of sight, but a remembrance of her will be cherished for years to come. While the heart bows in submission to the call of the Master, yet a mother's love will be remembered.
