Anna was a Manager for Whataburger in Houston and retired after 20 years of service earning many awards and accolades. Anna loved to watch the Houston Astros and the original Houston Oilers (Tennessee Titans).
In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Powell; brothers, Albert Banks, Robert Banks, and Earl Banks; sister, Jo Lynn Winford; and granddaughter, Karen Sweeting.
Anna is survived by her three sons, Richard Sweeting (Theresa), David Sweeting (Melissa), and Bobby Long Jr (Rhonda). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2019.
The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Funeral Home on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Burial will follow at Lower Cane Island Cemetery in Lake City.
