Cynthia Kay Alexander, 61, of Oakland, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at her home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Winifred (Barnes) Beebe and her brother, Edward Leonard Beebe.

She was born on December 4, 1957 at the Air Force Hospital at Lake Charles, LA.

She was a 1976 graduate of Mountaineer High School, Thomas, WV.

She dedicated her life to working hard and taking care of her family, both on a daily basis as well as in times of need. Throughout her life, she held various jobs ranging from nursing homes to restaurants, including a supervisor position for Bausch and Lomb until their closing.

She then became self-employed as a homemaker and continued to do so until her passing.

Mostly, Cyndi enjoyed spending her time at home with her family and pets. She was an animal lover who could never allow a stray animal to go without care.

Cyndi also enjoyed and took great pride in cooking family meals and gardening, whether it be in her flowerbeds, or many houseplants.

Cyndi is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Russ Alexander Jr.; a daughter, Autumn (Alexander) Sanders; two sons, Rusty III and Wesley Alexander, all of Oakland; and numerous extended family members.

She will be dearly missed and remembered by many, including family, friends, and her beloved pets.

To honor her wishes, she will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland, is honored to assist Cyndi’s family during this time.
