Sad was the death of Mrs. C. C. BOWLAND, who died at her home, 125 Piller street, Dallas, last Monday morning after but a short illness.
Mrs. BOWLAND was formerly Miss Polly CLARK, a daughter of Mr. Columbus Ormwell Clark, one of the old and prominent citizens of the Irving vicinity. She was born and reared here, was aged about 19 years, and was a bride of only about three months. She was of womanly graces and loved by the old and young in her circle of acquaintances. And all tender sympathy to the bereft family.
The remains were shipped to Irving Monday night and the funeral and interment was at the family cemetery at Sowers Tuesday evening. A host of relatives and friends followed to the grave.
