Vanessa Hart Giles-Hill, 42, of the 100 block of Westerly St. died Friday, June 6, 1997, in Charleston, S.C., while attending the graduation of her brother.

She was a Norfolk native and member of Christ Extended Hand O.R.M., Norfolk.

Survivors include her husband, Anderson Hill; stepdaughter, Varonica Hill of East Hartford, Conn.; son, Brian Giles of Manchester, Conn.; mother, Mabel Hart of Norfolk; sister, Carolyn Belton of Landover, Md.; two brothers, Royce Hart of Norfolk and Kenneth Hart of Goose Creek, S.C.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, John Hart.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in New Hope COGIC, 3232 Breast Ave., Norfolk, by Elder Herman Clark. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 2827 East Princess Anne Road and will assemble there at noon the day of the service. A wake will be held Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel.
