She was married to the late Freddie Lee McBride and was the mother to the late Freddie McBride, Jr.
Mother joined Allen A.M.E. in 1966 under the leadership of the late Rev. Richard Allen.
Laura McBride personified class. She was a hardworking woman, who was a loving wife, mother, grandparent and the nurturer of many within the community. Her heart was filled with love for the Lord and her family. Mrs. McBride was kind to everyone whom she encountered and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need.
Laura McBride is survived by three daughters, Rita Vanover, Delores DaCruz aka "Pucci", and Ethel D. McBride aka "Diane", one son-in-law, Steven L. DaCruz, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 15 great great-grandchildren and a host of many dear friends.
Her Viewing was held on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bell Funeral Home.
Her Funeral Memorial Service was conducted on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Allen A.M.E. Church, 161 Bellevue Ave., Providence.
Burial took place at Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
