Amy L. Stevens
February 14, 1972 - July 11, 2019

Amy L. Stevens died unexpectedly July 11, 2019 at her home in Omaha. She was 47.

Amy was born Febuary 14, 1972 to the late Woodrow K. and Joyce Southard in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She graduated from Omaha Northwest High School before going on to attend the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Amy was a devoted mother and known far and wide for her love of her son Beckett. The pair were constant travel companions who made annual trips to Disney resorts or on Disney cruises. In 2014, she and Beckett traveled to Norway to scatter her father’s ashes near her family’s ancestral home. A longtime employee of Marriott International, Amy was a much loved, respected and valued co-worker and friend. She loved to read, travel and volunteer. Her home was adorned with dozens of works by many of her most well-loved artists, including those by her favorite artist of all: her son, Beckett. Amy was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family and friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.

Amy was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce (Rusch) Southard and father, Woodrow Southard, both of Omaha.

She is survived by her son, Beckett Stevens of Omaha; step-siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends and colleagues who are left to treasure Amy’s memory.

Memorials preferred in Amy’s name be made to her favorite charities, Live On Nebraska, JDRF or Brownell-Talbot School, Beckett Stevens Education Fund.
