Kenneth H. Weber, 88, of Monticello passed away peacefully on July 6, 2019 at Monticello Nursing Home in Monticello, IA.

A memorial will be held Saturday July 27th from 11:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Camp Courageous of Iowa at the Still Barn.

Ken was born January 7, 1931 in Hartley, Iowa. He was the son of Arthur C. and Olga (Adams) Weber. Ken graduated from Hartley High School in 1949 and attended Valparaiso University and The University of Iowa.

He served in the Army for 3 years in the Korean War.

Ken Weber and Ann Van Zante and were married November 26, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa.

They moved to Monticello in 1963.

Ken was a teacher and coach at the Monticello High School.

He was active in church choir, taught himself Spanish and the guitar. He loved baking and was an avid golfer.

He volunteered for many years with the cake baking group at Camp Courageous.

Ken enjoyed the outdoors, music and children.

Survivors include his daughter Pamela Weber Rosenfeld and her husband Richard of Basalt, Colorado; his son Gordon Weber and his children, Kahla (Joe) and Greg of Minneapolis, MN, Jenny of Chicago IL; his siblings Arlene and Wilmer (Bill) of San Diego, CA and Don (Connie) of Dayton, OH. He was proceeded in death by his wife Ann, his parents and his sisters, Nadine and Phyllis, and brother Roger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Ken’s name to Above and Beyond Hospice Foundation, 417 E 1st St, Monticello, IA 52310 or Camp Courageous, 12007 190th St, Monticello, IA 52310.
