Josephine Wright Peatross Krause, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2019 in West Jordan.

She was born November 5, 1923 in Myton to William Stewart Peatross and Lydia Oldham Remington Peatross.

Josephine married Paul Arthur Krause on September 6, 1946 in Provo. Paul worked for the federal government and they lived in various locations: Fort Duchesne; Window Rock, Arizona; Chinle, Arizona; Bemidji, Minnesota; and Aberdeen, South Dakota. They retired to Orem in the summer of 1974.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithful all her life. Through the years, she served as a counselor in several Relief Society presidencies and several times each in the Young Women and Primary programs. She also worked for many years doing name extraction for LDS temple ordinances. She also served as a worker in the Provo Utah Temple as a member of a long-standing group that performed sealing ordinances.

She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Paul (Cynthia Kentner) and Thomas William (Yvonne Pederson); a step-daughter, Karen Lynn (Byrl Barbour, deceased); sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held in the Logan South Stake Center, 350 West 700 South, Logan, on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m.
