Early on the morning of February 18, 2019, God in his infinite wisdom sent his angels to reclaim Carolyn to himself, also affectionately known as CeeCee. His sweet, loving child, Carolyn W. Curtis was the third of seven children. Carolyn is the daughter of the late Louis and Mable Curtis. She was born on April 12, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Carolyn received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System.In her earlier years she was employed at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute as a Secretary. She was employed for over twenty-five yeas at the Commercial Credit (Citi) Corporation as a Public Relations Specialist where she displayed a dedicated and professional work ethic. In April 2017 Carolyn then finally decided that it was time to take a break, and she retired.
Carolyn was a dedicated and active member at Faith. She served on several Ministries.She volunteered and often assisted the Office Staff of Faith Baptist Church. Truly Carolyn had a desire and a zeal to always learn more about Christ, because she could truly say that she had a testimony. Many students throughout churches in the City of Baltimore graduated under her leadership. Carolyn was a visionary which allowed her to start her own Organization called "Youth Dreamers". She donated her personal funds as well as raised funds which assisted in the building of the Youth Recreational Center in East Baltimore.
Several years ago Carolyn invited her Aunt Matille into her home to love and care for her. This act of kindness included bringing Aunt Matille to Faith every Sunday and to other services and events.
Carolyn had a special bond with her siblings and always lived by the motto "one for all and all for one" and "to thyself be true", Her mantra has always been: "If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living will not be in vain!"
Carolyn's memory will live on in the hearts of her children, Charesse Young (Lorenzo Young) and Keith Curtis; two grandchildren, K-Whan and Kayla Young; one great-grandson, K-Whan Young Jr.; six siblings, Rose Curtis, Louis Curtis (Mary), Regina Lynch (John), Allen, Marvin and Jo-Ann Curtis; a special Aunt, Laura Matille Curtis, one Goddaughter, Formithia (Missy) Hurte; a special friend, Louis Cooper; best friend, Harriett D.W. Gantt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
