Mrs. Cynthia Dawn Harris Sims, age 45 of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away Saturday (July 13, 2019) at her home. She was born August 18, 1973 in Richmond, Virginia and was a 1991 graduate of
Varina High School. She was of the Freewill Baptist faith and was employed as a property manager for fourteen years. She loved to read and spend time with her children and her g-babies, Little Miss and Monkey. She will be missed by all, but when its time you will have a bunch of people who will see you in the end.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Tolbert and Alice Harris, two uncles, Cecil Harris and Roger Harris.
Survivors include her loving husband of nine years, Ronald “Lee” Sims, Jr. of Virginia Beach; two children, Tyler Lee Jordan and Joseph Dylan Jordan; her mother and step-father, Patricia Harris Helton and Daniel of Honaker; two brothers, Cecil Yount and Paul Yount; her childhood best friend, Gracie Varney Skeens; special cousin, Emily Elders; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends who loved her dearly also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Wayne Harrison and Rev. Eric Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Cemetery at Campbell Hollow Road in Honaker, Virginia.
Relatives and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Honaker Funeral Home, Honaker, Virginia.
