Lonie Isaacs, 84, of Connersville passed away Saturday evening, July 13, 2019, at Reid Health in Richmond.
One of eight children of Carlos William and Hazel Murphy Isaacs, Lonie was born on January 3, 1935, in Foxtown, Jackson County, Kentucky, and came to Connersville as a young adult.
On July 4, 1953, Lonie married the former Jessie L. Keen in Connersville. Mrs. Isaacs passed away on November 22, 2008.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Dale Isaacs of Connersville; a grandson, Michael D. Isaacs of Connersville; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Farry (Sam) Hawley of Lexington, Kentucky, Wilma Lakes of Richmond, Kentucky, Wanda (Ed) Blankenship of Florida, and Brenda (Russell) Brockman of Richmond, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Melissa Isaacs of Richmond, Kentucky and Linda Isaacs of Waco, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his wife of 55 years, Jessie Isaacs, Lonie is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vicky L. Isaacs who passed away in 1967; and three brothers, Ivan, Orbin, and Virgil Isaacs.
