Paul Wilcox, 64, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. Born September 2, 1954, to loving parents Allan and Crystalyn Wilcox in Marengo, IL, he went on to be a hall of fame football player at Marengo High School, making all state in 1971. After school he married Becky Polson, and had three daughters, Angela (Swanson), Katy (Wieczorek), and Michele (Boyer), who he dearly loved. His extended family, and the friends he made throughout his life also meant the world to him. He will always be remembered for his fiery and charismatic personality, his passionate love of music, especially Chicago Blues and rock and roll, and for being a diehard Chicago Bears fan.

He is survived by his brother, John (Therese) of Boston; niece, Brittany; his daughters; his granddaughter, Olivia; and his grandsons, Gavin and Huck.

There will be a Celebration of Life Visitation at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 North Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111 on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate in Honor of Paul Wilcox to The People’s Music School at peoplesmusicschool.org.
