Keith was born on September 9, 1960 in Muskegon, Michigan to Clarence Hall and Ann Ruth Ware. He worked as a Sergeant for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office from December 1, 2000 to the present. Keith received “Supervisor of the Year Confinement Division” in 2011.
Sergeant Keith Shepherd was a highly dedicated leader who was very dependable to Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office and his officers. He was a great mentor, loved and respected by many. He is remembered for showing compassion, giving assistance to all he encountered and his friendly outgoing personality.
Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Ware; father, Clarence Hall; stepfather, Walter Ware Sr.; sister, Sheryl Kay Johnson; and brother, Rudolph Shepherd.
Survivors: Wife, Veronica Shepherd; 2 daughters, Keishia Shepherd and Kristina Haver; 5 sisters, Gayl (Derrick) Bell, Lori Shepherd-Rawls, Nanette Mosely, Charlene Ware and Arnetta Ware; 2 brothers, Eric Shepherd and Walter Ware Jr.; 1 aunt, Peggy Gilbert; special nieces and nephew, Taneshia (Reginald) Koontz, Shatavia (Dion) Dawson, Jayce Davis, Amaya Marshall; 7 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
