Ernest Linwood Jones, age 83, of Tappahannock, died Saturday, June 15, 1985 in a Richmond hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Byrd (Fogg) Jones of Tappahannock; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Jones) Spicer of Glen Allen; two sons, Walter Garrett Jones of Glen Allen and Ernest Linwood Jones, Jr. of Marietta, GA; one brother, Richard Wesley Jones of Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. Elva Ross (Jones) Phillips and Mrs. Emma Jeffries (Jones) Williams, both of Bruington, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of Marks Funeral Home, Tappahannock. Interment was in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Dunbrooke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Mortimer Jones and Maria Elizabeth (Garrett) Jones; and four brother, William Montgomery Jones, Julian Ward Jones, James H. Jones and Robert L. Jones.
