----------------------
Willie Calvin Morris (Mr. Pete) was born to the late Mattie and Willie Morris on July 16, 1941 in Oconee County, Georgia. He passed away on July 3, 2019 in his beloved car a block from his residence.

Willie confessed Christ at the Werman Avenue United Methodist Church in the early 60’s. Later he united with the First Baptist of Oakley Church under the late leadership of Rev. E.J. Marshall.

Willie taught Sunday school (primary class) and later became the Superintendent; he taught life applications and was truly adored.

Willie served as the President of the Usher Board Ministry and was a member of Oakley Male Chorus.

Willie graduated from Withrow High School on June 13th, 1961 and shortly thereafter, enlisted in the United States Navy where he served on the USS Saratoga before he was honorably discharged on May 4, 1965.

Willie was never one to sit idle; he spent 28 years working at General Motors, 10 years at Hamilton County Jobs & Family Services and 15 years with the Environment Protection Agency.

Willie’s favorite pastime activity was bowling and at times could be found bowling six nights a week. He considered himself to be Everyone’s coach; he would share unsolicited advice as to what you should be doing, where you should stand, where your mark should be and if you were having a bad day on the lanes, it was never the lanes but always the Bowler...He was that guy! Smile.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Teri; children: Dyonne and Ronnie Morris, Timothy Johnson Jr (Janell); siblings: Alice (Jerry), Lillie (Douglas) Matthew (Lolita), John, and Federee; grand-children: Dominique Tyler (Akim), Tonae Thompson (Mychal), Judy Morris, Kyla Morris, Ronnie Morris, Jr., James Morris, Ryan Morris, Timothy Johnson Jr. and Jaxson Perry.
