The Macon County, Tenn., native was born July 18, 1918. She was a member of Gamaliel Baptist Church and a retired homemaker and cafeteria worker with the Monroe County School System. She was a daughter of the late Hubert Armour and Willie Mae Turner Armour and the wife of the late Bluford B. York.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Wood and her husband, Jack, of LaVergne, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Jeff and Tim Wood of LaVergne; and five great-grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, Jessi and Brienna Wood and Tera McDaniels.
Funeral services will be at Strode Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in the Gamaliel Cemetery.
