Leslie A. Watson, a resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the age of 61.

She was born March 9, 1958 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to the late Robert A. and Rose V. Costa Havlish.

On September 25, 1981 in Sterling Heights, Michigan she was united in marriage to Patrick H. Watson. Together they celebrated their 36th Wedding Anniversary. Patrick preceded his wife in death on June 5, 2018.

Leslie earned her Associate Degree in nursing, and was a registered nurse at Saint Joseph Hospital East, later at Saint Joseph Hospital West, which is currently known as Henry Ford Hospital. Early in her career, she was a registered nurse in various departments, but found her true calling as a labor and delivery nurse. She was employed for over 38 years. Leslie was a member of Saint Peter Catholic Church. She and Patrick and the family enjoyed vacationing near Rogers City, Michigan at Grand Lake Resort in Presque Isle. On her fun side, she enjoyed playing trivia with the Sporcle Trivia League and playing Candy Crush. Her family was known to request her signature dishes of lasagna or Sicilian steak.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Patrick (Amanda) Watson, Justin (Lacey Rigsby) Watson, Garrett (Sara Lucas) Watson, step daughter Corrine (Brian) Rujan, her grandchildren, Alyssa, Robert, Dean ( known as ‘Dean Bean’) and Zachary. She is also survived by sister Lisa Havlish, brother Robert (Kimberly) Havlish, nieces and nephews, brothers in law, William (the late Patty) Watson, Michael (Marci) Watson, sisters in law, Eileen (the late Michael) Champine, Linda Thornton, and Janice (the late Gordon) Watson. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her mother in law Zoe Watson.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a family celebration with open mic at 7:00 pm in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:30 am (instate at 11:00 am) at St. Peter Catholic Church 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Private burial will be at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
