Thomas Lynn Schroeder, 64, of Escondido, Calif. died on June 23, 2017.

Thomas was born on April 9, 1953 to Edwin and Beverly Schroeder of Ladysmith. He attended school in Ladysmith and graduated in 1971.

He joined the Navy and became a mechanic, working on helicopters and planes. After the Navy, he resided in California and repaired postal trucks. He married Thu Nguyen on Oct. 16, 2016. She was the love of his life.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Thu Nguyen; his brother, Roger (Patricia) Schroeder of Phoenix, Ariz.; his sisters, Jane (Charles) Watson of Whitewater, Mary (Jan) Hauser of Missoula, Mont. and Janet (Thomas) Kenny of Ladysmith and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Beverly Schroeder; his brothers, Richard and Stephen Schroeder and his nephews, Jamie Hauser, Joshua Schroeder and Matthew Kenny.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 20 at Riverside Cemetery.
