Charles D. “Charlie” Hobbs, age 73, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. He was born on March 7, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Charlie was a 1964 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and retired in 2012 after 25 plus years of employment with Clinton Township.
Charlie was an avid outdoorsman and trapper. He was a member of the Ontario Fur Harvesters Association, Ohio State Trappers Association and National Trappers Association.
Charlie was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather that loved his family above all else.
He is survived by his loving wife, whom he married on August 14, 1964, his children, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his mother, a brother, and a sister, Jill (Mike) Phillips of Mount Vernon.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father Hugh Hobbs and a grandson Landyn David Gleason.
