Born In Bavaria, Germany, July 18, 1853. at the age of 10, she came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Reece. They settled in Tippecanoe County, where she had resided ever since. On March 18, 1871. she was united in, marriage to Jacob Booher, who died nine years ago.
Mrs. Booher was a devoted Christian, a loving mother and a kind neighbor. She was a member of Salem Reformed church, also its missionary and Ladies' Aid societies and always took an active member of the John A. Logan Circle, Ladies of the G. A. R. She greatly cherished the principles of Christianity, and its teachings were wrought out in her life. Nd one in need ever came to her for help without receiving a generous and sympathetic response.
Mrs. Booher is survived by six daughters. Miss Elizabeth Booher, Mrs. Charles Link, Mrs. Harvey Smith, Mrs. William Smith, of Lafayette; Mrs. Mark Meyers of Indianapolis and Mrs. Lynn A. Scipio; of Cincinnati, all of whom have been at her - bedside for several days. She is also survived by one brother, Andrew Reece, of this city thirteen grandchildren and four, great grandchildren. A brief service will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, after which a general service will be conducted at Salem Reformed church at 2:30. Interment in Greenbush cemetery.
