Mrs. Lynda Cheryl Rice Sanders, age 70, of McDonough, passed away July 10, 2019. She was born in Atlanta, daughter of the late Edward Rice and Frances Morgan. In her younger years she attended cosmetology school and graduated from Falls Business College in Atlanta as a Key Punch Operator. For many years she owned and operated Tara Pre-school at Tara Baptist Church in Jonesboro and Ivy Post Antiques in Fayetteville. Cheryl was a “girlie girl”, fun-loving and prissy. She enjoyed shopping and especially liked clothes and shoes with lots of bling. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Earl Ray Fountain.
She is survived by her husband: Ron Sanders; sons and daughters-in-law: Kelly Fountain and Kevin and Laurie Fountain all of Jonesboro and Billy and Patty Fountain of Locust Grove; sisters and brothers-in-law: Kathy and Jerry Black and Robin and Jimmy Stinnett all of Griffin; grandchildren: Ashley, Sarah, Samuel and Michael Fountain, Abby Poteete, Emma and Ava Stinnett; great-grandson: Ezra Holden.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, July 12, 1-3 p.m., at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
