Funeral services for Roscoe Conklin Gibbons of Houston, Tex., a former resident of Davis, were held Sunday, Feb. 1 in St. Phillip's Methodist church in Houston. Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 2, in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, with Rev. Howard Plowman, First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Born April 14, 1913, in Popular Bluff, Mo., Gibbons died Jan. 30 in Houston.
The family lived in Davis and operated a variety store before moving to Houston 13 years ago. Gibbons was a retired employee of the J. C. Penney company. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Virginia Rogers, of the home; two sons, Rogers and K. Kent, both of Houston; one sister, Miss Allyne Gibbons, Ardmore; and three grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
