Mrs. Cathy Ann Adams, age 61, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 16, in the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born in Columbus, Ohio and lived in Interlachen, Florida before moving to Baker County in 2001. Mrs. Adams was most currently a homemaker but previously worked as a cosmetologist and was also a licensed interior decorator. She was a master seamstress and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Baldwin, Florida. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her father, Fred Eugene Gross, Sr. and her brother, Fred Eugene Gross, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Sara Jo Gross, Jacksonville, Fla.: her husband, Phillip J. Adams, Sr., Glen St. Mary, Fla.: 3 children, Timothy J. (Eugina Godwin) Gross, Macclenny, Fla., Sara Michele (Jon) Acree, Melrose, Fla., Michael John (Laura) Kwaak, Interlachen, Fla.: 4 stepchildren, Sara Jo Adams, Midway, Fla., Phillip J. (Kelly) Adams, Jr., Macclenny, Fla., Sara Elizabeth (Swain) Riggs, Glen St. Mary, Fla., Lacey Arlene Jones, Macclenny, Fla.: One brother, Jay (Jane) Kerry Gross , Atlanta, Ga.: One sister, Julie Arlene Starling, Macclenny, Fla.: six grandchildren, Breanna, Maeghen, Deena, Taylor, Caleb, and Haleigh,: Multiple nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, November 20, at 6:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Ergle, Pastor of Crosspoint Baptist Church, Melrose, Fla. officiating.
