Julien is survived by his children, three sons Andre (Tina), Rene (Lorraine), Albert (Anita) and one daughter Annette (Jim). Eleven grandchildren Marc (Kristie), Gerald (Amanda), Nadine (Rhys), Colin (fiancée Kim), Eric, Michael, Kevin, Lisa, Tyler, Chris (Kay), Vicki (Kent) and two great-grandchildren Aiden and Charlize. Three step-grandchildren David (Tammy), Karen (John), JoEllen (Adam); five step-great-grandchildren Darien, Dae-Lynn, Gavin, Abby and Luca.
Three brothers, Joseph (Yvonne), Henri (Cecile), Raymond (Laurette), three sisters Natalie, Adrienne (Jose), Louise (Aime); three sisters-in-laws Josette, Lucienne and Julienne.
He was predeceased by his wife Claire (1995); his parents Alexis and Marie, his father and mother-in-law Jean and Leontine, two brothers Charles and Alexis, two sisters Angele and Isabelle; four brothers-in-law Andre, Arthur, Julien and Louis and two sisters-in-law Mariette and Marie.
Julien was born December 12, 1918 in St. Claude, MB. On October 17, 1951 he married Claire Fouasse and together they settled on the farm southeast of town where they raised their children. They farmed until moving to town in 1995. Farming and family was his life and he enjoyed going back to the farm as often as he could.
He was a simple man who led a simple life. His interests were gardening, reading and most of all playing cards with who ever came along.
Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church, with Father Celestin Malengu Mubaya officiating. Interments to follow at the St. Claude Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Claude Wellness Centre, Box 400, St. Claude, MB R0G 1Z0
