Russell J. “Russ” King, 58, of Canastota, passed away Saturday at his home. He was born in Syracuse to James and Shirley King. Russ was raised in Fayetteville and attended Fayetteville-Manlius Schools. He was a self-employed contractor and had been employed as a machinist at Esco in Chittenango. Russ was a cinefile, enjoyed collecting all kinds of items and watching sports.
He is survived by his siblings, Michael (Wendi) Denny of Wisconsin, James T. (Marilyn) King, Jr. of Cazenovia and Rita M. (Gary) Scheirer of Daytona Beach, FL as well as several nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John Kevin King.
