Jane Wood, 84, Alexandria, passed away June 19, 2017, in Crestview, Florida.

Jane, a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church, loved attending and leading Bible Studies. She worked for the Department of Children's Services in Madison County and volunteered at Community Hospital as a Pink Lady.

A 1952 graduate of Alexandria High School, she loved to reconnect with old friends and plan reunions. Spending time with family in Indiana and Florida was her favorite thing. Her peanut butter balls and chicken and noodles were famous!

Survivors include her two children, Robin (Mike) Richardson, and Eddie (Nancy) Wood; seven grandchildren, Shawna (Erik) Amonson, Jason (Ashley) Anderson, Jessica Richardson, Josh (Jenny) Wood, Brandon Wood, Zach (Kyrsten) Wood and Elly Wood; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Leakey; brother, Paul (Vada) Tanner; and several nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dallas; and sister, Betty Parks.

Services will be held at Anderson Church of the Brethren, Scatterfield Road, Saturday, July 13. Visitation 2 p.m. and Memorial 3 p.m.
