Ms. Felecia Ann Jackson was the fourth child born to Minister Eddie West and Annie Pearl Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi on July 13, 1960. She was also reared in New Orleans, Louisiana by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Green. She attended Jackson Public Schools and graduated from James “Jim” Hill Senior High School in 1978.

Her education included an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from Holmes Community College-Mississippi (2004) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Belhaven University (2009). Over the course of her life, she also took classes at Cornell University, Draughon’s Business College, Rice Nursing College, Jackson State University and Mississippi Valley State University.

During her lifetime, she worked in several positions including as a union representative with the United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW), a 411-information operator for BellSouth/AT&T, a convenience store manager and a certified nursing assistant. After working as a certified pharmacy technician for many years, she retired in September 2011 from Fred’s Pharmacy.

Felecia moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 2011 and rededicated her life to Jesus Christ at the Fellowship of Faith Church under the leadership of Pastor Troy L. Garner in April 2012. She served in several ministries including the Youth & Children’s Ministry and the HELPS Ministry. She also served as a Sunday School teacher for the 3-6-year-old age group. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and watching her beloved New Orleans Saints.

Felecia departed this life for her heavenly home on Friday, July 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her daughter, DiTory Q. Jackson, parents and siblings: Linda F. Johnson, Edward L. Jackson, Timothy R. Jackson, Glen Harris and Valerie K. Jackson.

She leaves to mourn in her passing four loving sons: Timothy S. Jackson, Jadaric K. Jackson, DeVonté K. Jackson and TyQuan K. Jackson; two brothers: James A. Jackson (Lurlean) of Jackson, Mississippi and John Benson (Barbara) of Fullerton, California; three sisters: Totonya Jackson of Jackson, Mississippi, Barbara Ross (Tony) of Austin, Texas and Deborah Finklea of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister-in-law: Patricia Jackson of Brookhaven, Mississippi and two granddaughters: Jakayla Taylor of Jackson, Mississippi and Kailani Jackson of Huntsville, Alabama. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Fellowship of Faith Church(3703 Memorial Parkway NW Huntsville, AL 35810) with Minister Frances Willie Chunn officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Ms. Jackson will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing for Ms. Jackson will be held from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2019 and 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Royal Funeral Home.
