As the late afternoon sunlight shone down across the mountains, Dale Elon Ingle a man who had been blessed with 76 years of a full and wonderful life, was surrounded by his family at his home on Elizabeth Street and with their hearts filled with immeasurable love they each said goodbye to a man that was deeply loved, as he entered into his glorious eternal home in heaven on Sunday, July 9, 2017.

Mr. Ingle was born October 6, 1940 in Haywood County to the late Reverend George Ingle and the late Alta Fox Ingle. Dale had made his home in Canton all of his life and was a member of the 1959 graduating class of Canton High School where he made friendships that have lasted a lifetime. Mr. Ingle had honorably served his country in the North Carolina Army National Guard. Dale retired from Dayco International with 32 years of dedicated service and was also employed with Evergreen Packaging Co. where he worked for 17 years. Mr. Ingle was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Asheville. When remembering Dale, we think of his mischievous smile, the fact that he was an avid sports fan –especially Pisgah High School Sports, his never ending golf games and his place at the morning coffee club in Canton. Dale Elon Ingle loved his family and held great pride in his heart for each and every one of them. He is indeed a man who will never be forgotten but will remain a part of each of us forever.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings.
