William Arthur Pickett, Jr., at the age of 65 was called home on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Arthur was born and raised in Jasper, Tennessee until he moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1983. He was a graduate of Marion County High School. Arthur was employed for the City of Chattanooga as a computer operator.

Arthur was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, great-grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle along with being a best friend to each one that knew him. He loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. Arthur was known for his dependability, love of live, he never met a stranger and he was admired for his laughter. He was of the Baptist faith and he loved his Lord and Savior.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William A. Pickett, Sr. and Shelly Naomi Pickett and brothers, Freddie and Eddie Pickett.

Arthur leaves behind his wife of 34years, Marie Pickett; sons, Eric Norwood and Jermaine Hester; daughter, Shamar Hester; brothers, Vincent Pickett (Stacy) and Billy Pickett; sisters, Sharon Springs (Carroll) and Donna Pickett; mother-in-law, Bernice Cuffee; sister-in-law, Joe-Ann (Tyrone) King;grandchildren, Jermaine Hester, Jr. and Nyisha Hester, two great-grandchildren along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.

The funeral service will be held following the visitation in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Reverend Miles Bivens officiating.

Arthur will be laid to rest at Anderson Cemetery in Jasper, TN.
