Patricia A. Rose, age 76, a longtime resident of London Towers in Ilion, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, July 8, 2019, in the privacy and comfort of her home.

Patricia was born on January 30, 1943 and received her education in Brookfield schools. She was proud to be actively working on obtaining her GED.

As a young woman, she was wed to Mr. Claude Robert Rose and the two shared in a blessed marriage until Mr. Rose’s untimely passing in 1978.

For many years, Patricia worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for various entities throughout the Mohawk Valley. Most notably, she spent many years caring for the Sperling family, which she became very close to.

In her spare time, she loved to read cookbooks, cook, bake and volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and nothing gave her more joy than being surrounded by her family. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, her caring ways and her peculiar love for pigs!

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Tracey Postal of Little Falls; her sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Eckhard of Herkimer and Robert and Mary Rose of Ilion; her grandchildren, Brandy Jones of Frankfort, Christopher Lawson of Utica, John Postal of Little Falls, William “Boo” Postal and wife, Sylvia of Frankfort, Joshua Postal and Autumn Decker of Little Falls, Nicholas and Crystal Postal of Herkimer, Ryan Mikel and Allison of Little Falls, Gabrielle Rose of Ilion and Robert Rose of Ilion; and her great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Miya, Emma, Violet, Josh, Jr., Lucas and Alaris. She also leaves one brother, Lawrence Kimball of Bridgewater, her community of friends at London Towers and the members of her TOPS weight-loss club, which she attended every Tuesday.

Besides her husband, Patricia was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours or funeral services. Patricia’s family gathered at a private time to bid their farewells.
